Online Vs Offline Share Trading
Online Share Trading is buying and selling shares by client themselves through internet based account login into the trading application. Client can login to trading system through any of the following:
- Web based trading application: This is browser based light trading application which client can access through brokers website and can transact.
- Mobile based native trading application: This is installable native mobile app which generally can be download from link provided on brokers website or Google play store for android phone and Apple I store for I Phone user.
- Desktop trading application: This is powerful installable exe based trading application which needs to be installed in desktop or laptop and has maximum feature to buy and sell online. This is useful for day trader who has share trading as their full time activity.
Offline Share Trading is buying and selling shares with the help of staff of the Stock Broker ( called Dealer ). Generally client call the Dealer in the office of the Stock Broker and places order to buy and sell, this is also called Call and Trade facility (mostly this term is used by those Stock Broker who predominantly has internet trading client).
In few cases , Client do places order through Email , Fax , Bloomberg Terminal ( mostly institutional client) and also visiting the office of the Stock Broker or Sub Broker ( Sub Broker are agent of the Broker)
All orders placed by the Client or the Dealer are further pushed to Exchange Trading System through dedicated point to point leased line between the premises of Stock Broker ( where trading server are kept by Stock Broker ) and Exchanges.
